By small actions we can make a difference. The Trident Project is partnering with Save The Bay and Latino Outdoors for our first Beach Clean Up. We will have a hike, hands on educational component followed by a beach clean up along the shores of San Fransisco Bay in Oakland.
The Trident Project is a nonprofit that works to reduce ocean acification by promoting methods for ocean trash removal globally, and reduction of plastic waste from inception.
We will meet at 10 a.m. at the Damon Staging Area at the MLK Shoreline in Oakland. We will start the day with a hike from the Bay Trail to the restoration site for a 2 hour project, one hour will be spent on restoration/planting and one hour of beach clean up. We will break for lunch and discuss how each of us can help our oceans and water ways and help perserve and support the beautiful San Fransicsco Bay.
Pack a lunch and bring your friends and family, and especially children, to this inspiring monthly event.
