Ocean SF has always been more than a clothing brand. It was created around the love of the natural world, beautiful materials and products, and the community of believers who had more than a dislike for polyester.
We believe that what we wear should reflect our values: intentionality, stewardship, courage, and the quiet strength that comes from choosing a life with depth.
We’ve grown through years of innovation, community, and resilience. Now, as we enter our next chapter, we’re opening the doors wider.
We are seeking collaborators, creatives, and mission-aligned partners to help take Ocean SF to the next level.
Our vision is expanding — and we want to build it with people who feel energized by purpose-driven work, ethical craftsmanship, and coastal culture.
If you are someone who thrives in creativity, problem-solving, brand storytelling, or thoughtful design, we’d love to explore what we can create together.
Ocean SF is entering a new phase: more refined collections, a deeper mission, and a renewed commitment to ethical production and San Francisco’s creative community.
We are seeking fresh perspectives, aligned ideas, and skilled hands to build what comes next.
Let’s create something beautiful together. Contact us for more information.

When you live by the water, you learn the art of layering. The mornings are foggy, the afternoons often sunny, but the wind can carry a chill just when you least expect it. That’s where the Ocean SF midlayer comes in — the quiet hero of any wardrobe, bridging the gap between performance and ease.
Ocean SF creates clothing that bridges the gap between technical performance and everyday elegance. Designed for those who move between sea and city, our pieces honor craftsmanship, sustainability, and the quiet confidence of coastal living.
A great midlayer should keep you warm without weighing you down. Ours are designed with that principle at heart — lightweight, breathable, and flexible enough to move with you. Whether layered beneath a shell or worn on their own, they regulate temperature naturally, adapting to your body and the elements around you.
Every Ocean SF midlayer begins with carefully chosen fabrics — from soft merino wool blends to technical, recycled fibers that wick moisture, resist odor, and hold their shape. The result is a garment that feels incredible against the skin and performs beautifully, season after season.
Inspired by life on the water, each piece is cut for motion. Ergonomic seams, tailored silhouettes, and clean construction ensure comfort in every moment — whether you’re hauling lines, hiking a coastal trail, or heading into the city.
We believe function and style should never be separate. Ocean SF midlayers move easily from sea to street, pairing just as well with denim as with deck pants. Their minimalist design and coastal color palette evoke the San Francisco waterfront — understated, elegant, and enduring.
At Ocean SF, we build garments meant to last — pieces you’ll reach for again and again. Durability is a form of sustainability, and we’re committed to reducing waste through timeless design, quality materials, and responsible production. Every midlayer reflects that purpose and care.
From dawn sails to twilight walks, our midlayers are designed for real life — the kind lived between land and sea, where comfort, beauty, and performance meet.

Ocean SF is the Sustainability Partner for the Rolex Big Boat Series. Here is an outline of the races this weekend.
The boats will be docked around the bay at different yacht clubs. The first warning signal will be at 11:00 a.m., so you will see the boats waiting and ready for the race committee to do the countdown for their class.
In a typical sailing race, the race starts five minutes after the first warning signal. The standard starting procedure, called the “5-4-1-Go” sequence, is governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
This sequence uses both flags and sound signals to communicate the countdown to the racers.
All Classes:
Friday, September 10th – First Warning 11:00
Saturday, September 11th – First Warning 11:00
Sunday, September 12th – First Warning 11:00
In San Francisco, you can watch the races from Marina Green or Fort Mason. Come and join us!
Summer Interns – Ocean SF
Seeking highly motivated and creative individuals to join our intern team. Ideal candidates must be interested in building a sustainable fashion brand and, most importantly, promoting environmental causes.
This program will teach and develop entrepreneurial skills on all levels, including product development, marketing, fashion design, social media advertising, technical skills, project management, and LEADERSHIP.
We currently have three returning interns from last summer and two new hires. Our interns are studying business, digital marketing, and environmental sciences at Berkeley, Duke, Santa Barbara, and SLO. So far, we have a great team, but we need students with web development and data analytics backgrounds to help out.
You can learn more by contacting me directly.
