Leadership Development Summer 2026

Ocean SF has such a great summer working together and getting ready for our fall product launch.

A big shoutout to Craig Nomura for taking the time to meet with my Leadership Development interns and see them present the work they have done for my sailing apparel brand Ocean SF this summer. Having a retail powerhouse like Craig (former President of Global Retail for Levi Strauss) weigh in on what they have been working on was priceless. I believe it is important to pour into our future leaders and share our expertise when we can.

Post: Many thanks to Craig and our other summer guest speakers, Rosie Williams and Ainsley Woodford, for sharing their wisdom, and to Kyla Reichmuth, Zoe Rossiter, Anna Wohlman, Brynn Tully, Lucy Gellman, and, not to forget Emmitt, for your dedication and hard work for Ocean SF.

Last but not least, much love and a big thank you to Paris Thomas and Siena Thomas for hosting us at the Salesforce Tower and sharing their journeys and so many good snacks.

A City “That Isn’t Afraid of Change” — San Francisco Welcomes Vogue World

Lucy Gellman

In Fall 2027, Vogue World is making its San Francisco debut. Anna Wintour did not select San Francisco for its weather or skyline, but rather because it is a city that “isn’t afraid of change.” Wintour stated that San Francisco has a “history of rebelliousness… and incredible innovation. I love that San Francisco has always stood up for its values, and the things it believes in.”

Ocean SF embodies Wintour’s statement: founded on the Bay and built on the idea that clothing should reflect your values above others. Rebelliousness and innovation against the current default have always been instinct to San Franciscans. Currently, the default is polyester. This material is derived from petroleum, spun into plastic fiber, and sold as performance wear. These plastic fibers are shed into wash water in every laundry cycle, traveling from washing machines into the Bay San Francisco sails on. Ocean SF’s response was natural technical wools that are Made to Last. While this is a quieter rebellion than the runway, it is the same refusal Wintour emphasizes.

By 2027, Vogue will place a global audience in a city that has earned its reputation by diverging from the norm. Ocean SF does not have to change to meet the moment. It must maintain the values that made San Francisco Vogue’s choice in the first place.

More to follow as Ocean SF prepares to welcome Vogue World to San Francisco.

Ocean SF Chosen as Rolex Big Boat Sustainability Partner for 2026

We are happy to announce that Ocean SF has once again been chosen as the Sustainable Partner for the 62nd edition of the Rolex Big Boat Series, hosted by the prestigious St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco, California.

As our brand is dedicated to ocean conservation, continuing this partnership is a deeply meaningful honor for our team.

About the 2026 Rolex Big Boat Series

Scheduled for September 16–20, 2026, this iconic regatta brings world-class sailors and competitive racing to the challenging waters of San Francisco Bay, set against the backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge.

In addition to four days of high-stakes competition across select classes, this year’s event carries extra prestige as it serves as the 2026 ORC (Offshore Racing Congress) North American Championship.

Eligible Classes & Competitors

  • Classic Boats: Traditional wooden plank-on-frame construction with an LOA ≥ 40 feet and a valid ORRez rating certificate (cold-molded construction boats are excluded).

Championing Sustainability On and Off the Water

At Ocean SF, we believe that world-class performance and environmental stewardship must go hand in hand. As the Sustainable Partner for the 2026 regatta, our goal is to support St. Francis Yacht Club in minimizing environmental impact and actively engaging our coastal community.
